Mitsui Global Investment Makes Strategic Investment in Kaminario

Kaminario to use investment for market expansion

NEWTON, Mass. - Sept. 25, 2012 - Kaminario, a leading provider of high performance all solid-state (SSD) SAN storage solutions, today announced that Mitsui & Co. Global Investment Inc. ("MGI") has made a strategic investment in the company. The investment will be used to support Kaminario's expansion into new markets.

Kaminario recently announced record-breaking Storage Performance Council SPC-1 Results showing the Kaminario K2 performs at 1,219,973.91 SPC-1 IOPS™, setting a new world record in sustained storage performance. The K2 also set a world record for price performance, coming in at 40 cents per SPC-1 IOPS. The Kaminario K2 is the only SSD storage solution on the market today to offer a true scale-out architecture designed specifically to deliver on the full potential of solid-state media.

Kaminario recently closed a $25 million dollar D round of funding. To date, Kaminario has received almost $70 million in funding.
